Matthew 26:40-41 (KJV) And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
According to the wiseman Solomon, there is a time for everything in this life. Truly, we are finding ourselves at a time when we must be very serious with prayer. The truth is not pleasing to many, but must be said; there are dark days ahead for this world. If there was ever a time to be a prayerful Christian, it is now. If there was ever a time to pray more than an hour everyday, it is now. These are the days to be prayerful and not lazy. We love sleep too much and must make time to pray. Most Christians are asleep spiritually and hence manifesting in the physical. Jesus was amazed his disciples could not pray for one hour, this by extension applies to us today. Sadly, we have time for all other things we want to do, except spiritual things. If truly we want to pray, we can make time. The TV and social media time is too much, cut some off, for prayer. The many hours of sleep is too much, cut some off and pray. It is time to pray. It is time to be prayerful. It is time to love prayer. It is time to change things through prayer. Pray, pray, pray.
May we awake from slumber and arise unto prayer in this late hour. Have a blessed Friday.
Prayer: 1. God please forgive me for being lazy in prayer.
2. Holy Spirit please empower me to pray from today onwards.
