Psalms 37:5 (KJV)  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

One of the challenges believers sometimes struggle with, is waiting for God to answer our prayers. So as a quick fix, we tend to rather go our way, and at the end invite God to give us a stamp of approval for our actions. In this verse the Psalmist talks about handing over our ways, plans, ambitions, etc unto God first. We must then have faith He would do it, so we place our trust in him. The result of such actions done sincerely, yields a response from God. God has assured us clearly in this verse, that if we do our part, he would do his part. The choice is ours to make, either we go our own way and when we think we need God, before consulting him. We should not expect an answer in such instances, because we didn't trust him enough to start with him. We serve a faithful God, and he means whatever he has said he would do. Do you trust God?

May we build our trust in God and increase our dependence on him. Have a favoured Friday.

Prayer: God I commit this day into your hands, please lead and take control of every situation ahead. I trust in your leadership as I take the backseat.
